Welcome to craqdIAS. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the craqdIAS web application ("Platform"), operated by craqdIAS ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. Account Responsibilities
When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information (name, email)
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Permitted Use
The Platform is provided for personal, non-commercial use for UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination preparation. You may use the Platform to practice questions, take mock exams, review your performance, and download report cards and explanation PDFs for your own study purposes.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including question explanations, analytics features, report card designs, user interface, and branding — is owned by craqdIAS or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. UPSC question papers are sourced from publicly available materials; our explanations and analysis of those questions are our original work.
5. Scoring & Assessment Disclaimer
Our Platform uses the UPSC Prelims marking scheme (+2 for correct answers, −0.66 for incorrect answers) to score your practice attempts. These scores are for practice and self-assessment purposes only. They do not represent actual UPSC examination results, and we make no guarantee that your practice scores will correspond to performance in the actual examination.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Share, sell, or transfer your account to another person
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform
- Reproduce or redistribute our question explanations, report cards, or other proprietary content
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation or infrastructure
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding exam success, career outcomes, or the accuracy of any particular question explanation. Use of the Platform is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, craqdIAS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform — including loss of data, loss of profits, or failure to achieve desired exam results. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, if any.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
